Nativity’s Religious Education Program is held on Sundays before and after the 9:30am Mass for students as young as first grade. Annual registration is required before beginning class.
Nativity offers Religious Education classes for non-sacramental and sacramental preparation for children in grades 1 to Confirmation. The Archdiocese of Miami requires 2 consecutive years of preparation for First Holy Communion and 3 years of preparation for Confirmation.
Level 1a: First Year of First Communion Preparation for children in grades 1-2. Students are in classes with children in their school grade level. After completion of Level 1a, students begin Level 2a. 8:15am in the Church Office.
Level 1b: First Year of First Communion Preparation for children in grades 3-4. After completion of Level 1b, students begin Level 2b. 8:15am in the Church Office.
Level 1c: First Year of First Communion Preparation for children in grades 5+. After completion of Level 1c, students begin Level 2c. 8:15am in the Church Office.
Level 2a: Second Year of First Communion Preparation for children in grades 2-3. Students are in classes with children in their school grade level. Students will receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. 8:15am in the Parish Hall.
Level 2b: Second Year of First Communion Preparation for children in grades 4-5. Students will receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. 8:15am in the Church Office.
Level 2c: Second Year of First Communion Preparation for children in grades 6+. Students will receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. 8:15am in the Church Office.
Level 3: Religious Education Classes for children in 3rd grade in school. 8:15am in the Church Office.
Level 4: Religious Education Classes for children in 4th grade in school. 8:15am in the Church Office.
Level 5: Religious Education Classes for children in 5th grade in school. 10:45am in the Church Office.
Level 6: Religious Education for students in 6th grade in school/First Year of Confirmation Preparation. 10:45am in the Church Office.
Level 7: Religious Education for students in 7th grade in school/Second Year of Confirmation Preparation. 10:45am in the Church Office.
Level 8: Religious Education for students in 8th grade in school/Final Year of Confirmation Preparation. 10:45am in the Church Office with Mr. Bailey and Ms. Vazquez
